Silvia Estrada is the Mixed Media Artist behind Similk’Art alongside her helpers. Originally from Spain, she has travelled and lived in Mexico, Belgium and has been based in British Columbia, Canada for several years now.
It all started years ago during her travels with a few sketches & drawings with pencil and black inks during her work breaks or spare time.
After visiting numerous places, British Columbia, Canada has been one of her favourites so far inspiring her to make new creations as the Artsy side of her started flourishing more.
After discovering Epoxy Resin and the endless possibilities with it, the pencils were put aside for a while. Then the exploration became a big part of Silvia’s life, in the beautiful Similkameen Valley, a few years exploring with Epoxy, trials and failures that became part of the journey of Similk’Art.
Incentivized by nature and the landscapes of BC, new mediums, colours and techniques are being constantly implemented in Silvia’s art work, to immortalize part of our nature as a form of Art.
Let your imagination wander!
Quote: “The world is constantly changing as we are, so let’s immortalize it”
